Basic Introduction to Picture Framing

Students have fun learning in our classes

Our signature class has trained hundreds of accomplished framers over the years. This class is a combination of hands-on training and classroom learning designed to give you a solid fundamental picture framing skill set. We cover matting, cutting and joining frames, preservation basics, layout and design, mounting, glazing, canvas stretching, textile work, and assembly.

Students work on an industry high 5 project pieces, each chosen to reinforce some aspect of learning. Hands-on supervision, provided by qualified, experienced instructors is provided giving the student a confidence level far beyond what they expected.

This class runs five days, approximately 10 hours per day. Friday finishes mid-afternoon to allow ample travel time for students who come from all over North America.

There is no prerequisite for this course except the desire to learn picture framing on a professional level. The class is given multiple times during the year. Class #DCxxxx51, 5 days, $1,195 * indicates class given in California
